How to find The Conifers ...
GPS / SAT-NAV reference: LN1 2NB
Broadholme is located near the village of Saxilby, off the A57 / B1190 road.
Once you are in the hamlet of Broadholme travel along the road [in either direction] until you come to a very sharp bend.
Take the lane off the sharp bend, signposted Manor Lane [it is a No-Through road].
Continue along the lane, coming to a blind bend - proceed with extreme care - take LEFT, signposted Occupation Lane.
Please note, word of caution, Occupation Lane is a narrow single vehicular road, with SOFT ROAD VERGES, please do not be tempted to pull-on to the verges to allow passing, you may get stuck or even worse disappear into a hidden ditch [please note that there is a Passing Place].
Proceed down this lane; you will come to a worn Children Hazard sign.
You will come to a [first] bungalow on your left (called Oak Trees).
Immediately just after this there are two concealed entrances, [too fast and you will have missed it].
TAKE the 1st PRIVATE DRIVE on your left.
[Please note that this a SHARED ACCESS with a legal agreement between all relevant properties to keep clear at all times.]
Please restrict speed to 5mph on the shared access.
The Conifers is the gated property at the very end with ample parking.
Caution:
May we please ask you to be especially aware of children playing and pets on the approach shared driveway, especially near stable area!
Please note that there is also a hamlet called Broxholme close by and we have people confuse the two.
Message from Broadholme Parish Committee, letter issued 30 November 2006:
Although the official Speed Limit along Manor Lane and Occupation Lane is 40 MPH, Broadholme Parish Committee would like the residents to make all visitors aware of the need to drive at a speed that befits the road conditions, taking into consideration the concealed entrances, the blind bend and narrowness of the lane, and the possibility of pedestrians.
The proprietors of The Conifers would like to suggest to their guests that they restrict their speed to below >30MPH along this lane. Many thanks in anticipation of your co-operation in this matter.
